Strategic thinkers and their characteristics: toward a multimethod typology development

Abstract Objective We aimed to explore the strategic thinking concept by searching for differences within population of thinkers contribute development “strategic thinking” concept. Methods applied To answer research questions and achieve aim, we implemented following methods: a systematic literature review biographical studies. Findings (1) As first stage in researching thinking, qualitative approach is recommended. (2) The main features are perspective reflective style thinking. (3) Two groups differentiating have been identified: concerning content thinking; process Originality/value Most academic on concentrates common characteristics similarities, while little attention has paid that internally differentiate thinkers. Our contribution filling this knowledge gap.
